Praia de Iracema is a beach in the homonymous neighborhood. Its name comes from the character Iracema, which gives title to the novel Iracema, by the Ceará writer José de Alencar

Designed to extend 800 meters along the sea, the Bridge of the English began its construction in 1920, with the proposal OF serving as a port DE embarkation and landing of people and goods between the land and the anchorages that could not approach the shore, since the Metálica Bridge, the main 'port' DE Fortaleza at the time, was in poor condition and was being rebuilt in the early 1920s. Its name is due to the designers DA DA bridge structure, designed POR engineers DA the English company Nastor Griffts, hence the name DE the English bridge.
