The Christmas period in Split is an experience on its own. Split is a Mediterranean city, and the main Christmas avenue is the seaside Riva Promenade, the center of the main events in December. The local skilled guide will lead you to the best spots, and you will have opportunity to try the local authentic Croatian cuisine, homemade rakija, and Soparnik. Croatian cuisine and local specialties have a long tradition and now they are also a main part of every festival in Dalmatia. We'll arrive at Split's main tourist attraction, the Diocletian's Palace, where wooden stalls serve mule with wine. Split's Christmas decorations are unlike anything you've seen before, and you'll never forget them because they're genuine.

The eternally historical Diocletian's Palace is especially perfect during Christmas time. All the streets and alleys around the palace are traditionally decorated. You can find the Christmas market beside the square.

The oldest Catholic cathedral prepares for the main event of the year. The bell tower is particularly splendid in December. (Visit from outside)
