The main industries of Zanzibar are raffia, tourism, and spices. The islands mostly produce nutmeg, black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon. Due to the products that the islands produce, all of them together with the Mafia Island of Zanzibar are in some cases referred to as the Spice Islands.

After Stone town tour then you will proceed to Kizimbani spice plantations which will take 35minutes drive from stone town .Our tour guide will show you and give you the opportunity to see, touch a wide variety of spices, fruits, herbs, plants and flowers which are used as a ornamental and medicinal by the villagers of kizimbani.. You will also have the opportunity to pick, smell, and savour fruits and spices which you have probably never seen on the supermarket shelf, Cloves, star fruit, tangerine trees, lemon grass, mangos teen, ‘lipstick trees’, to name but a few what you can expect to see! This is the cheapest place to buy locally made perfumes and oils.
