The Parish of San Dionisio is one of the oldest in the Dominican Republic, it was five hundred years old, on May 12, 2012. It was the seat of the blessed image of Our Lady of Altagracia, Mother and Protector of the Dominican People, until that it was transferred to the new Sanctuary, today the Minor Basilica.
