Drive a Snowmobile and visit a reindeer farm in Rovaniemi! Meet the reindeers at our reindeer farm and have a peaceful sledge ride pulled by the reindeers. Learn everything about the reindeer herding lifestyle and enjoy warm juice and cookies. After the farm visit it is time for the adrenaline blast, while you travel though the snowy forests of Lapland by driving a snowmobile.

Detailed itinerary

Your experience begins with a meeting with your guide at the set meeting points, where you'll be warmly dressed up before the take off to meet the reindeer. When everyone is ready, your journey to meet the reindeers at Reindeer Manor, 20-minutes drive away from the center of Rovaniemi begins.
You can meet the friendly reindeer and enjoy a brief 500m long reindeer sledge ride. Local reindeer herders will be present to share their insights and address any queries you may have about the distinctive lifestyle and customs of the region’s reindeer herders. Gain a deeper understanding of how herders manage their reindeer and collaborate as a family to preserve their way of life. To add warmth, hot juice and biscuits will be served in the hut.

Following your visit to the farm, partake in a 1-hour snowmobile safari within the Arctic Circle, departure from our office in Santa Claus Village. Before setting off, your guide will give detailed driving instructions. After all the safety instructions are done, the real fun begins when it´s time to start your 1-hour long journey through stunning Arctic landscapes!
About halfway through, we’ll take a short break, giving you the chance to take some photos and switch drivers if you are traveling in pairs.

In order to drive a snowmobile, a valid driver’s license (class B) is required. A provisional license or a picture of the driving license won’t be accepted. The driving license must be recognizable in English. If you do not bring your driving license you won’t be able to drive a snowmobile and no refund can be offered.
Children and adults without a drivers’ license can join the safari by sitting on the sledge.
2 adults share 1 snowmobile. If the number of people in the group is an odd number, someone in the group will have to share a snowmobile with another member of the activity. Single driving is available as supplement for adults.
Children 1-13 years old are seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile. We recommend one of the parents to sit with a small child in the sledge for the child’s safety. Children are unable to participate in the snowmobile tour for if the outside temperature is below -20°C.
If a child over 140 cm wishes to sit in a snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged (according to availability).
Children under 3 year old are not recommended to join this tour.
The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a personal self-liability of 950€ per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15€, reducing self-liability to 150€. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour.

Meeting point

Meet your guide at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park City Office, in Koskikatu 8. Meeting time is at 8:15. Please check-in at the front desk inside the office with a member of staff.

Missed meeting time and point will result on missed activity and no refund will be provided.
