Detailed itinerary

1

The train trip from Nuwaraeliya (Naanu oya) to Ella in Sri Lanka, or the other way around, is considered to be one of the most beautiful train trips in the world. This train ride is 2-3 hours long and takes you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views. The train trip between Kandy and Ella is one of the highlights of Sri Lanka in our opinion!

2

To see where your morning cup of tea originates, visit the Pedro Tea Estate. Situated about 3.5 KM east of Nuwara Eliya. Visitors can visit the Tea estate from morning up to 12.30 p.m. and again after 2.00 p.m. At Pedro Estate factory you will be shown the full process of how tea is manufactured and then graded and packed for export to all corners of the world. The Pedro tea estate is located in Central Sri Lanka at close proximity to Nuwara Eliya and is located on a landscape with the blue sky as the background with green pastures of tea and water falls cascading, which is a sight never to be missed

3

The Nine Arch Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka and is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the nation.

Stop 4

Ramboda Waterfall, nestled in the misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, is one of Sri Lanka’s most stunning natural cascades. Surrounded by lush tea plantations and emerald-green valleys, this majestic Ramboda Falls plunges gracefully from a height of about 109 meters, creating a breathtaking sight and a serene atmosphere. It’s a must-visit stop for nature lovers and photographers traveling through Sri Lanka’s hill country, offering scenic viewpoints and tranquil moments amidst refreshing mountain air.

5

Little Adam’s Peak, located in the charming hill town of Ella, is one of Sri Lanka’s most rewarding yet easily accessible hikes. Rising gracefully amid tea plantations and rolling hills, the peak offers a short, scenic trail leading to breathtaking panoramic views of the Ella Gap, lush valleys, and distant mountain ranges. Perfect for travelers seeking adventure without a strenuous climb, Little Adam’s Peak captures the natural beauty and peaceful charm of Sri Lanka’s hill country.
