About this experience

This trip is designed for Panda lovers only.  You will visit Panda Base in Dujiangyan, a place boasts research laboratory, animal hospital, Panda cribs, cinema, playground, museum, kitchen and class room.  It is not a tourist thing to hold a baby Panda for a nice photo only.  This volunteer program is  a combination of working experience and learning class.   67% of your payment will be donated to Dujiangyan Panda Base.  The local tour supplier offers hotel pickup, round trip coach transfers. and guiding service (English only).

Dujiangyan Panda Base

The full name is "Dujiangyan Base of the China Conservation & Research Center for the Giant Panda", located in Qingchengshan town, 65km north or Chengdu.  It takes 90 minute on the road.

This tour is based on "On Request". After you have paid, the local tour operator will send your booking to Dujiangyan Panda Base. Approval from the Panda Base is necessary. After that, a confirmation voucher will be sent to you.
This tour is a seat-in-coach tour, with a driver and a tour guide. You will share a coach with other passengers.
Hotel information should be provided 24 hours before departure.
The scheduled hotel pickup time is between 7:20am and 7:40am. Your tour guide will call you at your hotel before 10pm the day prior to tour departure to reconfirm exact time.
If you do not receive a phone call from your tour guide the day before tour departure, please check with the front desk of your hotel for messages or refer to the emergency phone number on your confirmation voucher and call your tour operator.
Please note that pickup service is only available to guests staying at hotel list in downtown Chengdu area. If you live in the outskirt of Chengdu, please go to Sheraton Lido Hotel Chengdu to join in this tour. The pickup time from Sheraton Lido Hotel Chengdu is 7:50am
