About this experience

A 2-day tour of the Inca Trail is a hike that takes the city of Machu Picchu through the ancient Inca trails. It is an ideal choice for those who have little time and want to avoid the crowds and long walks of the traditional Inca Trail.

The Short Inca Trail starts at km 104 of the Cusco-Machu Picchu railway and winds through the jungle and mountains. Some of the places visited are:

DAY 1 TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU (full day)

DAY 2 TOUR THE ROUTE OF THE SUN (Cusco - Puno)

Which is a church dating from the 17th century. Also known as La Sistina de los Andes for the beauty of its murals, the gold leaf work and the paintings of the Cusco school that it houses inside.

IMPORTANT. The visit lasts 25 minutes / Filming or taking photos is not allowed inside the temple.

THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX OF RAQCHI.(3,450 MASL)
Also known as the Temple of the god WIRACOCHA, who was the supreme Inka deity, in this place we will find the largest number of Colcas (Barns) we will also see magnificent stone and adobe buildings.

IMPORTANT. The visit lasts 40 minutes / We recommend the use of hats and sunscreen.

THE LITHIC MUSEUM OF PUKARA. (3,900 MASL)
That it is a culture that developed from 1600 BC to 400 AD located 106 km to the mor. East of the city of Puno, in this museum we can find ceramics and sculptures representing zoomorphic figures, among them the famous sculpture of HATUNÑAQAC that in our times would be translated as the supreme cutthroat.

DAY 3 TOUR TO THE FLOATING ISLANDS OF LOS UROS AND TAQUILE.

This excursion begins with the pick up from the hotel in Puno at 7 am, and we will go to the port of Puno so we can embark on the boats, a bilingual guide will accompany you while you travel to Uros and Taquile.
The floating islands of the Uros are a set of habitable artificial surfaces made of reeds, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca. The islands rise above a portion of the surface of Lake Titicaca,
Their subsistence is based on the ancestral culture linked to the lake, based on the multiple uses given to the reeds that sprout from the bottom and fishing, more than 2562 years ago.
The tour ends at 5 pm in the port of Puno, then return to the terminal. Since our return bus (Puno - Cusco) leaves at 10 pm
