About this experience

At 9:30 starts our walking tour from Tremezzo, typical village looking the central part of the lake, in front of Bellagio and Varenna. We walk from Tremezzo to Ossuccio through an ancient connection road, the "Greenway of the lake" discovering gentle paths, hidden corners of local history and enchanting lake views. We reach Ossuccio and from there the Comacina island by public boat. Comacina island is the only one island of Lake Como, one of the most interesting archeological sites in northern Italy for the early Middle Ages. The area, called Zoca de l'Oli for its mild climate, is covered by mediterranean vegetation and olive trees for the production of local oil.
From Comacina Island return trip by public boat to Ossuccio, from Ossuccio by walk to Villa Balbianello, in Lenno. Villa Balbianello is located on a wooded promontory on Como lake. This elegant, romantic 18th century mansion and its magnificent garden have hosted writers and travelers, including Guido Monzino, the last owner.

Isola Comacina is a small wooded island of Italy's Lake Como.
The area, called Zoca de l'Oli for its mild climate, is covered by mediterranean vegetation and olive trees for the production of local oil.
The only one island of Lake Como, is among the most interesting archeological sites in northern Italy for the early Middle Ages.
The island was besieged for a good deal of time by the Lombards under Authari.
The island was invaded in 1169 by Frederick Barbarossa and soldiers from the town of Como, who set fire to the island.

Villa del Balbianello is a villa located on the top of the small wooded peninsula of Dosso d'Avedo, in the south-west branch of Lake Como. Villa del Balbianello is famous for its elaborate terraced gardens, with a famous loggia which allowed viewers to admire two different panoramas of the lake, from east to west.
The location of the Villa was also used for famous films: Star Wars (2002), Casino Royale (2006), His Demise (2016), A month by the lake (1995) and many others.

From Tremezzo, walking through ancient villages and gentle paths, we will walk to Ossuccio along an antique Roman connection road, the "Greenway of the Lake" (roughly m 100 level difference, about 8 km). By the way, enchanting panoramas on the lake, nature and local history.
