In the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, we will find Circus Maximus, our next stop. It was used in ancient times as a chariot-racing stadium and mass entertainment venue in Rome. It was also the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire. The site is now a public park.
In Piazza della Bocca della Verita we will see the Mouth of Truth, a huge legendary sculpture, dedicated to the God of the Sea, represented by a male bearded face with holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth. Here you will discover an amazing legend!
Piazza Venezia is another stop for our tour. We will admire here the Vittoriano Monument, or Altare della Patria. The amazing building was inaugurated in 1911 as a tribute to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy after the country's unification.
Continuing with our itinerary, we will arrive in Piazza di Spagna, one of the most visited squares in Rome. The Spanish Steps are also found here, a favorite spot among tourists to sit, relax and enjoy the views of Piazza di Spagna.
Our last stop is the Borghese Gardens, the most popular park in Rome. It is an amazing opportunity to relax and admire beautiful nature.
