Your Private Marrakech Desert Trip 2 Days to Erg Chigaga will start at 7:30 am from your accommodation Riad / Hotel in Marrakech, we drive south toward the High Atlas Mountains. We would absolutely make a stop within an hour, but in a beautiful panoramic view over the Berber villages and the valley. We continue driving through the mountains to reach the highest pass-road in Africa called Tizi-N Tichka with an altitude of 2260 m / 7500 Ft. We would definitely stop for the pictures opportunities.
We will reach the Berber village of Tazenakht, the Lifetime adventure continues to reach Foum-Zguid, the last village before going off-road. Stop for lunch. We will drive through different terrain, rocky desert, sand dunes, and oasis. Stopping at Iriqui Lake in the middle of nowhere. We will be in Erg Chigagga before sunset. Your camels will be ready at the dunes to start your trekking. Dinner, campfire, Nomads entertainment, and overnight in Berber tent at the Nomadic Desert Camp.
Wake up early this morning to assist the sunrise from the top of the sand dunes; a beautiful sun & sand contrast that should not be missed. Breakfast will be down at the Desert camp. We start driving off-road direction Mhamid village. We are back to the tarmac road. You will visit Zagora on the way then driving via Draa valley and Low Atlas Mountains.
