Stop 1

If one happens to be in the city of dreams, the first thing they ought to do is appreciate the heritage of this metro, which most of the times commences with this colonial structure. Erected in 1911, this edifice was completed in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay.

Standing with an altitude of 280 feet, Rajabai Clock Tower is located within the campus of Mumbai University. Dating back to 18th century, the tower was built on the inspiration of Elizabeth Tower in United Kingdom by a British architect.

Wending its way around the bay, Marine Drive is one of the most scenic stretches of road on the Arabian coast. It is officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road. But since that was a bit of a mouthful they shortened it to Marine Drive.

Located at the northern end of Marine Drive. Chowpatty is Mumbai’s most famous and popular beach spot. Much of a hubbub, it’s not the cleanest spot to enjoy the sea, but it is the busiest and most cosmopolitan.

Hanging Gardens are perched on the top of Malabar hill overlooking the Marine drive. The parks made up of a variety of plants and shrubs carved into creative shapes and arrangements to entertain and amuse.

This dargah is situated near to the heart of city proper. It was constructed in the year 1431 in memory of a wealthy Muslim merchant. This is a mosque and a dargah (tomb) located on an islet off the coast of Worli in the southern part of Mumbai.

It is a Hindu temple in Mumbai dedicated to Lord Ganesh, it was built in the year of 1801. Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the richest temples in Mumbai.

Mani Bhavan was Gandhi's headquarters for 17 odd years, this museum commemorates Gandhi's life and his contribution to the Indian freedom movement.
