About this experience

This is typically itinerary.

Early in the morning, our driver will pick you up at your place in Zanzibar and drive to the airport to catch your transfer to Mikumi which departs 07:00am and will arrive in Mikumi park at 07:45am.

On arrival at Mikumi you will meet your driver/guide and start game drive in a jeep/4X4 land cruiser which can take six to eight persons depending on the number of seats it has, so you will do game drive until 1pm for lunch inside the park then finish the game drive.

In the end our guide will assist you to unloading area where you will meet your awaiting transfer back to Zanzibar.

On arrival in Zanzibar, the driver will be ready to pick you up for the return back to your hotel.

Detailed itinerary

Early in the morning our driver will pick you up at your place in Zanzibar and drive to the airport to catch your transfer to Mikumi which departs 07:00am and will arrive in Mikumi park at 07:45am

On arrival at Mikumi you will meet your driver/guide and start game drive in a jeep/4x4 land cruiser until 1pm for lunch inside the park then finish the game drive.

In the end of a game drive, our guide will assist you to the airstrip where you will meet your awaiting transfer back to Zanzibar.

On arrival in Zanzibar, the driver will be ready to pick you up for the return back to your hotel.

Commonly seen animals in Mikumi: Giraffe, hippo, buffalo, elephant, zebra, baboon, eland, wildebeest, antelope etc.

Occasionally seen animals in Mikumi: jackal, hartebeest, crocodiles, lion etc.

Rarely seen animals in Mikumi: leopard, spotted Hyena.
