Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a mosque located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. It is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and first President of the UAE, who is also buried there.
The mosque is one of the largest in the world, with a capacity for over 41,000 worshippers. It is also known for its stunning architecture, which incorporates elements from Islamic and Moorish design traditions.
The mosque features 82 domes, four minarets, and 1,000 columns made of pure white marble. The main prayer hall is adorned with the world's largest hand-knotted carpet, which covers an area of 5,627 square meters and was handmade by 1,200 artisans.
