Detailed itinerary

Your guide will arrive for you at your Hotel, to meet you with the name of the main traveler.

In case you arrive at Mundo Maya Airport on the day of the Tour, our staff will be waiting for you at the departure with a sign with your name to identify us.
Today the vehicle and guide will be just for you.

Then start the journey for 1 hour with 30 minutes to reach Tikal.

Our hike will be approximately 6 km with time to rest, take photos, climb the permitted structures, the hike will be at your own pace.

Tikal has about 5,000 pre-Hispanic buildings in an area of approximately 16 km2, where on our perfectly designed tour you will know 70% of the site.
Tikal is characterized by the monumentality of its buildings, with a continuous occupation of 1,700 years (800 BC to 900 AD), during which time it played a leading role in the social and political organization of the lowlands.
The most important thing that our hike will be in the shade being able to observe many birds and monkeys during the tour.

The heart of Tikal, where we can spend up to 1 hour observing the impressive temples of this great civilization, your guide will tell all the architectural details of these buildings their functions and date of construction.
In the large square you will know the Great Jaguar Temple, Temple II of the Masks, Northern Acropolis and Central Acropolis the largest Residential and Administrative area.

The Temple of the Bicephalous Serpent, also called Temple IV, is a ceremonial burial temple built in 741 AD, by the Mayan civilization, being a construction of the largest city of the late classical Tikal period.

The Lost World is the largest ceremonial complex of the preclassic of the great Mayan city of Tikal, the complex was organized as a large astronomical complex and is composed of a pyramid aligned with an eastward platform that forms the basis for three temples.

It also has a 32-meter high pyramid, allowed to climb.
