Detailed itinerary

1

Experience the magic of Tuscany as our driver picks you up from your hotel or chosen location (B&B or private flat) for an unforgettable journey. Your adventure begins in San Gimignano, a medieval hilltop town near Siena, famously known as the “Town of Fine Towers.” Once home to over 70 towers, it now stands as an open-air museum, offering the feeling of stepping into another era.

Stroll its cobblestone streets and admire its breathtaking architecture. Treat yourself to a glass of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a renowned white wine made from ancient Vernaccia grapes grown on the area's rolling hills. Discover the town's treasures, from saffron and the famed Golden Ham to the extraordinary craftsmanship of local artisans.

Be sure to visit Gelateria Dondoli in the main square, where you can savor what many call the world’s best gelato. With its charm, history, and flavors, San Gimignano promises to make your Tuscan journey truly unforgettable.

2

After your enchanting exploration of San Gimignano, the journey continues along the iconic "Chianti Wine Road", a scenic route that winds through Tuscany’s most breathtaking landscapes. As we travel, you’ll be immersed in the beauty of rolling hills adorned with olive groves, towering cypress trees, and endless vineyards, each telling its own story of this world-renowned region.

Our next destination is the charming medieval town of Montepulciano, a jewel of the Tuscan countryside. Famous for its stunning architecture and celebrated Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, this hilltop town offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and unparalleled views. Every moment on this leg of the journey promises to deepen your love for Tuscany and its timeless treasures.

3

Our second stop takes us to the enchanting town of Montepulciano, nestled in the heart of the stunning Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, history and tradition blend seamlessly with breathtaking scenery.

Upon arrival at the main square, your adventure deepens with a visit to a historic underground cellar, guided by our expert driver. Descend into a fascinating world of tuff walls, ancient wells, and immense oak barrels, where the legendary Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Rosso di Montepulciano DOC gracefully age to perfection.

Following this immersive tour, you’ll enjoy a wine tasting experience, sampling some of the region’s finest wines while learning about their unique qualities and the passion behind their production.

For a true taste of Tuscany, our driver can recommend an excellent spot to savor an authentic Tuscan lunch before we bid farewell to Montepulciano. With hearts full and glasses raised, we’ll then set off for the final leg of our journey to Rome.
