Stop 1

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, and then transfer to enjoy amazing day trip to Alexandria. First visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock dates back to the second century, discovered by chance when a donkey legs fell off in the mouth of the shaft leaded to discover it in 1900 AD.

Then Pompey Pillar dates back to the second century & built by king Pastimous as a memorial for the emperor Qastentine who forgave the people of Alexandria after they protested against him & distributed corn for them because the hunger that they suffered from it but it has called Pompey's Pillar because the crusaders thought Pompey the roman leader head hang on its top.

Then we proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria, its powerful fortress built by the Mumluk king Al-Ashraf Qaitbay to defend Egypt borders from the north & by the sea & it has fallen off in the hand of the french then the British because the garrison were using the traditional weapons.

Then drive you to Bibliotheca Alexandria dates back to the second century built by king Ptolemy the first & completed by Ptolemy the second but the original one had burnt during the struggle between Ptolemy the thirteen & Jealous Ceaser the roman leader and this one built in 2003 in the days of our president Mubarak and the original library considered the first one established in history.

Then the roman Theater that it discovered in 1960 AD & discoverd by the Polish.
