From this point you go up the stairs and trails that take us over wide fields of lava. Under the shadow of the Arenal we keep climbing till we reach a panoramic viewpoint. Besides the volcano you see the Arenal lake, the surrounding jungle and the northern lowlands. Hiking down we pass more tropical forest giving us a chance of seeing more wildlife.
