Then, you will visit the oldest temple in Shanghai - Longhua Temple.
Longhua Temple is the oldest temple in Shanghai for its long history of over 1,700 years. The visitor here having marveled at the city's modern architecture and historical sites. Besides its long history, Longhua Temple is the largest temple in Shanghai. It occupies an area of over 20,000 square meters (five acres) and the architectural proportion is about 5,000 square meters (1.2 acres). The whole courtyard was built strictly in the style of traditional Buddhist symmetry and it's in accordance with the Chinese concept of beauty.

This is a private museum dedicated to collecting and displaying posters. It contains over 6,000 collections of original propaganda posters from the 1940s to 1990s. It covers chairman Mao’s time and shows the political movements that were taking place during the New China era. It was founded by Mr. Yang Pei Ming who started collecting the posters as a hobby in 1995.
Then, we will admire the western-style architectures in the 1920s around Former French Concession area.
Known for its tree-lined boulevards, the former French Concession is a stylish neighborhood boasting a charming mix of Chinese and European architecture. Walk along quiet alleyways, absorb the botanical beauty of a French-style park and admire the intricate facades of villas and apartments built in the early 20th century and discover the famous figures that have resided within.
You will walk around Former French Concession area, such as: Huaihai Road, Hengshan Road, Wukang Building, Xintiandi and Shikumen Museum.

Wukang Road is only 1.17 km long. There are 21 outstanding city-level historical buildings and 22 district-level cultural protection relics. Each house and its detail show its stories and history. All of the buildings on the road are in European style, and while walking on Wukang Road you'll get the sense that you have arrived in Europe.
Wukang Building is the most famous building on Wukang Road. The building, shaped like a giant vessel, was the most famous English-styled building in Shanghai back in the 1930s. The Wukang Building was designed by Hudec, the well-know architect.
Then, you will visit Xintiandi and Shikumen Museum.

It is an old shikumen house built in the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. The museum was built according to the model of one household in the 1920s. There are seven main exhibition rooms, namely, the guest room, the study room, the old people's room, the master room, the daughter room, the pavilion room and the oven room. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days.
