A unique experience that will take you into the heart of a genuine archaeological dig where you can observe the recovery and restoration phases ‘live’ and at the same time relive the dreams of a somewhat “extravagant” emperor.

A true time travel, a sort of cognitive and emotional short circuit, something really innovative in the new technologies applied to the cultural heritage.
12 steps with a guide in person inside the Domus Aurea where you can admire the Nymphaeum, the Golden Vault Room and the large Octagonal Room. Multimedia installations enhance the immersive reality and video-based project. During your trip you can watch a “sensory” projection in the entrance hall and enjoy a virtual reality experience in the Golden Vault Room.
THE TEMPORARY EXHIBITION "RAFFAELLO AND THE INVENTION OF THE GROTTESCHE" from 23 June 2021 to 7 January 2022 is offered free of charge.
