About this experience

You will be driven in a comfortable and safe 6 seater Toyota, Nissan or Mitsubishi or 7 seater Mercedes minivan.

We embark on a fantastic "nature trail" in Etna Park, towards the craters. We get to the top of a side crater. A crater is a collection of pyroclastic scoria that is ejected from the magma channel and, as it piles up around the eruption hole, forms a cone.

Arriving at the edge of the side crater, where the boiling hot lava flowed from the slope, we will explain to you the characteristics of Etna's eruptions. You can see the different hues that the lava can take on, like a rainbow of reflections, and the different consistencies of the pyroclastic material to the touch.

La bottoniera dei crateri Sartorius: lo spettacolare percorso che da 1660 metri di altitudine ci porta nella foresta di "Betula aetnensis" e poi lungo la cresta dei sette crateri, immersi in un magnifico paesaggio che un secolo e mezzo fa era un vasto campo lavico. Attraverso massi e lastre di roccia vulcanica si ritorna al magico bosco di betulle e poi si visita la “Grotta dei Ladroni”.
