You'll be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to the city of Abydos, located to the north of Luxor. There, you'll explore two of the most complete temples in Egypt. The Abydos Temple is dedicated to the Ancient Egyptian god of the underworld and is believed to be the burial site of the god. Built by King Seti I and completed by King Ramsess II, it's also known as the Temple of Seti I. Located about 420 km south of Cairo in the Sohag Government, and 135 km from Luxor, the paintings of the gods and pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are some of the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. Afterward, you'll visit the Temple of Hathor at Dendara, which may be the best-preserved temple in Egypt, with full colors still visible on its walls. This temple is located approximately 135 km from Luxor.
After exploring the Temple of Seti I in Abydos, continue your journey to Dendera to visit the Temple of Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, and joy. Located north of Luxor, this beautifully preserved temple still showcases its original vibrant colors and intricate carvings, making it one of the most impressive temples in Egypt.
After your visit, sit back and relax as you are comfortably transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor.
