About this experience

During this 2-hour trip, you will see how necessary tea is for Taiwanese daily by drinking. You probably have tasted a cup of BOBA milk tea to quench your thirst, which is even being sold in 7-11 now. However, the first thought for Taiwanese people might be the Chinese herbal tea around the corner, and finish it right away! Tea also can be more than just a drink, we mix it with rice/meat/dessert, and making friends with a cup of tea just like a shot. Let's go through the way back to hundreds years ago, from the biggest business wharf "Dadaocheng" for the history of tea. Taste explosion of tea, bet you will totally change your mind about it.

What you'll see

Enjoy the 2-hour trip with a tour guide and a audio device. We will start from the biggest fabric market in the old town Dadaocheng, which remains the perfect traditional industry from hundreds years ago. Shop-crawl will be necessary due to let you taste how diverse tea can be in Taiwan!

Next, we will visit Xia-Hai City God temple with a Love God Pound Cake, tea can be the wifi signal which connects your Mr./Ms. Right without social media here. The temple was built in 1856. It ensures prosperity and peace through its blessings. Nowadays young people come to pray for a happy love life and good job.Then you will visit oldest Minnan-style building "Lin Wu Hu Ancestral House" The man can be the master of both tea and calligraphy. Tell the different kinds of tea, and taste as well, you will appreciate the tea theory here.

Go through the main street, you can see lots of dry-food and boutique shops. Last we stop at once Taipei’s biggest tea factory"Sin Hong Choon Trade Co".
