Detailed itinerary

1

The Sapporo Beer Museum is Japan’s only museum dedicated to beer and a landmark that symbolizes the history and culture of Sapporo. Founded in 1876, Sapporo pioneered Japanese brewing, and the museum highlights this legacy through brewing equipment, vintage posters, and artifacts that show how beer grew with the settlement of Hokkaido.

Set in a striking red-brick building, originally a sugar factory and now a registered Hokkaido Heritage site, the museum is both an industrial monument and a popular photo-worthy attraction.

A highlight is the Beer Hall tasting. Guests can enjoy three beers: the classic Sapporo Black Label, the historic Kaitakushi Beer, and Sapporo Classic, available only in Hokkaido. For drivers or guests under 20, Hokkaido-exclusive non-alcoholic drinks are offered so everyone can take part.

More than a sightseeing spot, the Sapporo Beer Museum invites you to savor history, craftsmanship, and the pioneering spirit of Hokkaido in every glass.
