About this experience

Do it on your own! For those with kayaking experience and wanting to go explore with friends and family without a guide, a kayak rental may be what you are looking for. Paddle through the tranquil waters of the Broad Creek Estuary in hopes of encounters with Hilton Head's playful bottlenose dolphins. Our staff with spend time with you before your departure going over the area with you, pointing you to the best spots for finding dolphins and other wildlife, and answering any questions you have before your departure. Along with the dolphins there's also the possibility of seeing manatee, otter, and a variety of beautiful bird species. If you do not have experience doing it on your own it might be best to join on of Kayak Hilton Head Inc's guided tours as kayak rentals are for those that do have kayaking experience. Guided tours or kayak rentals are both a great way to enjoy a relaxing experience with a high likelihood of seeing dolphins and other fun wildlife!

What you'll see

Your rental is for up to 2 1/2 hours. We'll go over the area and landmarks with you so you know your way back. It's an easy route to follow and never in 25 years has anyone gotten lost. We'll tell you about the tides and the best places for finding dolphins and other wildlife. We will help you into your kayak and from there you have 2 1/2 hours to explore the peaceful Hilton Head Broad Creek estuary. Most guests find dolphins and see a lot of beautiful bird life and the lucky ones might see a manatee or otter. It's a great way to experience a couple of hours of relaxing quiet time during your Hilton Head vacation!

Meeting point

Once arriving to Simmons Rd, about halfway down turn right at the big "Water Tour Parking sign". After parked walk in the direction of the water looking for the Blue Food Truck. After seeing the food truck if you look right you will see the "Wooden Pier" sign as well as the "Welcome Kayakers" sign.

Important notes

Look for the "Welcome Kayakers" sign for check-in. Adjacent to the Blue Food Truck and the "Wooden Pier" sign. Please call 843-684-1910 prior to arrival for any help concerning your reservation and to confirm the number of single and double kayaks. Please Note: insurance regulations on a kayak rental require at least 2 in your group.
