Plešivica is famous Croatian wine region located 30 km southwest of Zagreb with centuries-old tradition in wine-growing and making a wide selection of high-quality and renowned wines with the emphasis on white and sparkling wines. You will have the opportunity to visit two local wineries, meet local wine-makers and try a selection of wines with distinctive aroma and taste.
Besides enjoying in wine tasting and beautiful landscape of Zumberak Samobor Hills Nature Park you will have the option to have a short hike up to the ruins of 13th century Samobor Castle and/or to explore the city of Samobor famous for its interesting culinary tradition and well-preserved 19th century charm.

Tour will start with pick up at your accommodation in Zagreb and an hour drive towards Plesivica wine region.
Before we reach Plesivica we will stop in the small town of Samobor famous for its interesting culinary tradition and well-preserved 19th century charm. You will see the main town square, St. Anastasia church and small colorful bridges which evoke a relaxing atmosphere.
There is also an option for a short hike to the ruins of 13th century Samobor Castle. Castle, once owned by the most famous Croatian noble families, today is just a beautiful picturesque ruin with amazing views.

Passing through this beautiful countryside landscape we will stop in a two local wineries to taste premium wines and traditional homemade specials. Our visit will include a guided tour of the wine cellar accompanied by interesting stories of wine-growing tradition in this region.
