Stop 2

Discover Auckland’s Wild West on a private, scenic tour that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city to experience New Zealand’s rugged, natural beauty.

The day begins with a relaxing 30-minute drive from Auckland, entering the tranquil rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges. These ancient hills, remnants of long-extinct volcanoes, are home to a variety of native New Zealand flora, including giant tree ferns and towering kauri trees. Your first stop is the Arataki Visitor Centre, perched high on the ridge, offering spectacular panoramic views of the rainforest and Auckland’s two harbors. This cultural hub also features traditional Māori carvings, where your guide will share the significance of these works and their connection to the land.

3
Stop 3

We stop at a stunning viewpoint overlooking Piha beach and the Tasman Sea before going down to the black sand beach. Marvel at the Lion Rock, Piha’s most iconic landmark, and see the Māori carving. Lion Rock stands watching over the waves, sitting majestically between Piha and Little Piha Beaches.

Feel the black sand beneath your feet as you stroll along Piha beach - one of the most awe-inspiring beaches the world has to offer and watch the surf waves rolling in. Piha is popular with experienced surfers, but it’s also a wonderful spot for picnics, relaxing walks, and swims – under the watchful eye of the famous Piha Surf Club. There’s a sense of muscularity about the Tasman Sea’s attention to the rocky coastline, and an intimacy created by the dense rainforest that crowds the dunes. The west is wild and have a remote, untamed beauty that's good for the soul.

4

After your beach stroll, indulge in a relaxing vineyard lunch with a glass of local wine, perfectly complementing the scenic beauty of the day. By the afternoon, you’ll return to Auckland, filled with memories of this unforgettable private West Coast experience.

5

After an exhilarating fun-filled adventure experience at Auckland's West Coast, it is now time to head back to Auckland Central to conclude your afternoon and drop-off at your hotel in Auckland.
