We can accommodate a stroller or a pram, provided it is fully collapsible and can fit in the luggage compartment of our buses.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the conditions, walking shoes, sun protection, jacket/warm layer & essential personal items.
Children (15 years and under) must be accompanied by a responsible adult (16 years or over).
Maximum weight limit is 120kg. Please advise if your child weighs less than 45kg.
Participants must be 12 years old or over (proof of age may be required) for Black Water Rafting at Waitomo Caves.
Minimum weight restriction of 45kg+ apply.
Guides at Waitomo reserve the right to refuse to take anyone into the cave that they consider to be unsuited for the tour (e.g. physically incapable or too small). No refunds are provided in these circumstances.
No caving experience is needed!
You do need to be comfortable in the water, however swimming is not a necessity. You will have a tube to aid you in floating as well as expert guides.
Bring a camera or a phone with camera capability as this is the perfect place to get some great travel photos.
Minimum age of ten years old for Ziplining.
Please remove all jewellery before entering the pools as we accept no responsibility for tarnished jewellery.
For the bathing experience, guests can choose to bring their own bathing attire or hire these items from Polynesian Spa at a small cost.
Moderate fitness level required - must have the ability to go for a half day forest walk or hill walk.
This is a guided walking tour and sensible walking footwear is recommended.
Sandals, Scuffs or high heel footwear are not allowed.
You must be able to climb and descend stairs and walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.
We need all participants to be able to raise both knees to hip height (to fly safely into platforms).
Ability to walk up 6 flights of stairs unassisted without stopping for a break.
If pregnant, we do not recommend participating if you are past 18weeks (something to look forward to in a few months!)
If the guest has had or is suffering from any of the medical conditions, we strongly advise that they seek advice from their doctor prior to using the geothermal pools.
It is important that children (as well as adults) drink water while bathing to keep hydrated.
