The cliffs of Cabo Girao are some of the highest in Europe, with a near vertical drop of over 500 meters down to the raging seas of the Atlantic Ocean at the base of the cliffs. In this viewpoint we have a stunning view over the valley of Curral das Freiras, Eira do Serrado, the central massif and is the starting point for the walking route of Caminho Real da Encumeada.
