The waterfall is an awe-inspiring sight as it plummets down a 60-foot natural stone staircase. Sylvan Lake may be one of the smallest in the region, but it's the most photographed. You'll see why and witness the 16-inch thick ice that makes it right up to the other-worldly rock formations.

Roughlock Falls is the number one waterfall in Spearfish Canyon, with multiple viewpoints along the path. Two waterfalls make up this majestic natural wonder.
