This museum will give you a complete overview of the ethnic history and culture of the Western Ukraine. The museum’s area is 9 ha, and there are 6 ethnographic zones, each of them has its own style and architecture.
Wandering through the narrow cosy paths you will explore traditional Ukrainian huts, historical constructions, including 6 authentic wooden churches. There is also an impressive collection of the household items that counts with more than 20 thousand pieces. You will also see the oldest exhibit of the open-air museum – the peasant hut that was constructed in 1749. This museum was created in order to protect original national folklore. The keepers of the houses willingly demonstrate such conventional crafts as blacksmithing, weaving, and bee farming.
