Furthermore, Tanah Lot means land on the sea and comes from word Tanah mean land and lot mean sea. During low tide, people can walk to get to the temple, but during high tide, the Tanah Lot temple surrounded by seawater. In front of the main temple, there is a cave where the holy snake located. Balinese people believe the sacred snake as the guardian of the temple from evil spirits.
