Ozkonak Underground City is the most interesting one in the region among 36 other ones which were first used by Hittites and later by Christians as a shelter in during Roman persecution times. By carving lots of rooms all connected with tunnels, they lived in here when the cities were invaded by enemies. you have a chance to see the rooms, food storage church, and kitchens. Chimneys and defense systems used in the underground city will surprise you during the visit.

Zelve & Pasabag. Pasabag, also known as Pasha's Vineyard, is situated on the Zelve road, between the popular town of Göreme and the traditional pottery-making town of Avanos. Here you can find spectacular cone topped rock pillars known as Fairy Chimneys standing tall throughout the vineyard, Pasha was a in important officer in Ottoman times when the region was captured. However Pasabag is more commonly known as Monks Valley, it earned its name from the many monk refuges carved into the soft rock cones.
