Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

We’ll start the day nice and early before heading to our first stop, the Bangkok Flower Market. Known locally as Pak Khlong Talat, it is the largest wholesale flower market open 24/7. See the colorful displays of flowers and produce before we cruise across the river to our next stop: Wat Arun.

Stop 2

Situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, Wat Arun – also known as Temple of Dawn – is a Hindu temple named after the sun god Aruna. Famous for its gleaming colorful spires seen from most viewpoints in Bangkok, we’ll spend some time here taking in the glorious sites before making our way to our next destination.

3

Also known as Temple of the Reclining Buddha for its giant 46-meter long Buddha statue on its side, Wat Pho is our next stop. Besides housing hundreds of Buddha images, Wat Pho is also considered a leading school in Thai massage. They even have massage pavilions in the area where they offer massages for a couple hundred Baht.

4
Stop 4

After wandering around Wat Pho, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Wat Phra Kaew (also known as Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and the Grand Palace. Once home to the Thai royal family and the seat of government, the Grand Palace still maintains many of its dazzling buildings and structures. Within the huge complex of the Grand Palace is Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the highly revered Buddha statue made entirely from jade.

5
Stop 5

Our last stop is Wat Traimit or Temple of the Golden Buddha. We’ll see the grand 5.5. ton golden statue of a seated Buddha and take in the beautiful white and gold facade before making our way back to Pattaya and your accommodation.
