DA to explore the volcanic landscape, accompanied by a certified expert Guide: it is the first and only DA Catania tour with arrival at Qt 2000mt (Piazz.le Rifugio Sapienza).
The route includes significant DA stops:
- Cava Asero : Interesting for its geological conformation and for being a now disused lava quarry, it was a place of interest for several film shoots (STOP 30 MINUTES)
- Pineta Serra La Nave : A pine forest that often marks the passage to higher altitudes and gives a contrast between vegetation and lava rock
- Cracked Theseus by Igor Mitoraj : A monumental bronze sculpture, of great fame, placed in a spectacular viewpoint (STOP 10 MINUTES)
- Rifugio Sapienza (last stop): Located about 1900 meters on the south side of Etna, it is the arrival point (STOP 2H30). During the stop is offered a lunch with typical Sicilian products and tasting of 3 wines of Etna. At the end of lunch, the Guide will accompany you to discover the Silvestri Craters (ticket included)
