The Peñas Blancas Nocturnal Safari Float is the perfect spot to hear the sounds of wildlife with family or friends. Moving slowly and quietly trying not to disturb the nighttime ambiance to improve our chance of seeing the abundant life that inhabits this river. The Long-Nosed Bat, monkeys, caimans, iguanas, birds, and owls all reside along the banks of the Peñas Blancas River, and nature lovers of all ages will love this tour.
After a short drive from La Fortuna to the river dock, your guide will take you on a two-hour float down the Peñas Blancas, sharing his knowledge and telling the history of the area. You will pass family-owned farms along the way, and at the end of the tour stop at one where a local family will share coffee, bread, plantains, cheese, or other local dishes with you.
After returning to the dock, your driver will take you back to your La Fortuna area hotel.
