About this experience

This tour takes you along the south coast of Iceland on a beautiful and scenic route.

You will visit the majestic Skógafoss at Skógar and the Beautiful Seljalandsfoss a waterfall that you can walk behind and through to the other side. The black sand beach Reynisfjara where the Atlantic Ocean hammers the coastline with all its power. The Black basalt has been shaped into amazing different formations, most notably the famous Reynisdrangar. You will then have the additional pleasure of visiting Sólheimajokull glacier towering above on your route.

Driving east along the cliffs of Eyjajökull to the magnificent Skogafoss waterfall. You will get the chance to get great photos and take a small hike up to the top of Skogafoss to witness the power from the waterfall above. It drops down 25 m (80ft) and it’s one Iceland’s largest waterfall. If visited while the sun is shining, you’ll be able to see beautiful rainbows since the strong spray of mist.

One of Iceland’s most popular waterfalls is without a doubt the Seljalandsfoss waterfall due to the reason that it’s possible to walk behind the waterfall and get great pictures and experience the power, mist and the beautiful view behind it.

The Black Lava Beach is formed long basalt cliffs or columnar igneous rock which are formed at the cooling surface will tend to be propagated down the lava as it cools, forming long, geometric columns. Thus, as lava cools to form basalt, it may crack in a hexagonal (or other) shape and form columns. Reynisfjara Black Beach has really powerful waves that have helped shaped the amazing cliffs. Making them one of the areas most sought after attraction to visit. The cliffs bare many interesting birds, among other species you might see fulmar, guillemot, razorbill, gannet and various types of seagulls. By summertime, the cliffs are filled with puffins.

Solheimajökull is an outlet glacier from Myrdalsjökull which is the 4th largest glacier in Iceland. We will have the chance to drive a detour to the edge of the magnificent glacier so you will be able to experience the unique shape of the formation of water, mountains, and ice.
