About the Park:
Bundala National Park Lies in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, as part of a large group of national parks and sanctuaries on the Southern - Southeastern coast. It was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1969, and became a national park in 1993. It later became the first of four Ramsar Wetlands in Sri Lanka, and was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2005.
