What you'll see

The tour will depart from the meetup location at the Furukawa office of local operator in Hida at 2:00 pm for afternoon departure. You will meet with your friendly and informative guide and start the 3.5-hour biking tour to enjoy not only the beautiful scenery of Japanese countryside, but also local's lifestyle in the small village of Hida.

Ride through a graceful old town in Hida and a farming village, the beautiful Satoyama will gradually come in sight. See local vegetables lining up in a market, huge old folk houses scattered, rice fields spreading all around surrounded by mountains. It is a well-balanced tour of exercise and relaxation for you and your family; feel the daily lives of local people while biking throughout a 22 km long route.
