About this experience

The Nevidio canyon is the last canyon conquered in Europe (1965). It is a cascade of watefalls and narrow passages between tha rocky walls of canyon. It starts with about 60 meters deep. There are places where it is possible to pass it only under, or even thru the rock. Nevidio is about 4 km long and partly less then ½ meter wide (at the bottom).

The Nevidio Canyon is a part of the River Komarnica, which springs at the foot of the southern slopes of Durmitor, more precisely in Dobr Dol.

The Little Komarnica joins with river Pridvorica near the village Duži and creates the Grand Komarnica which goes further down the canyon until entering the artificial Piva lake, which was created by the construction of the Mrtinje hydroelectric power plant.
