About this experience

This amazing new tour is like nothing that we have ever seen in Antigua and Barbuda with themes of ecology, history, and adventure all while maintaining a desire to be off the beaten track. Guests are collected along the west coast of Antigua by boat and taken into the Northeast Marine Management Area, the Eastern Caribbean’s biggest Marine park. There are over two dozen little islands and cays nestled between wonderful reefs which all create a barrier to the Atlantic Ocean’s waves and swells. After zigging and zagging between these beautiful areas over it’s azure waters, the team navigates our guests over to the private Laviscount Island where we are greeted by our wonderful hosts.

Detailed itinerary

1

Laviscount is a gem of natural wonder &historical significance which has been carefully &expertly prepared to host adventurers. The docking area alone will captivate you as shoals of fish swim by. Laviscount is fringed by the most beautiful red mangrove plants &upon arrival you know that you’re in for a treat. After our hosts give a short briefing, we visit the giant Aldabra tortoises. This will be another vacation highlight. Lunch is served under the beautiful wooden pavilion. Our guides &hosts will thenshow you the Lesser Antillean iguana, very rare &fascinating native species to this part of the Caribbean. The macaw parrots will say hello as we explore.
We take a short hike through the middle of the island where you will learn some fantastic history about some of the regions original inhabitants &how important these offshore Islands were to their survival. Our guests will have a choice of snorkeling along the mangroves or returning to spend a bit more time with the giant tortoises.

2

Then it’s time to say goodbye to the captivating Laviscount Island and to cruise over to Hell’s Gate. Since 1999 we’ve been taking our guests here to explore the amazing rocky bridge, limestone caves and natural jacuzzi. Another vacation highlight!

3

It’s hard to believe that we will have time for more adventure, but we really should do some guided snorkeling through the coral reefs off Great Bird Island before cruising home and opening up the historically important and equally potent traditional rum punch. It’ll be a contemplative ride home. What you’ve just done on this day will live with you forever.
