About this experience
70km away from Rio, Petropolis has a totally different atmosphere and architecture from Rio. The city was founded by D. Peter II, and it used to be the summer city of royal family.
Petropolis has a unique architectural ensemble, such as the Quitandinha Palace, the St. Peter's Cathedral of Alcantara, the Crystal Palace, the Santos Dumont Hous, the Imperial Museum, and many colonial houses in the historical center.
