Optional 1 hour hike along the Furnas Lake Trail.

If a volcanic stew 'Cozido' is your lunch preference, this is the place to see it being slow cooked in a volcanic vent for 6 hours.

When it Furnas, why not take a dip in the volcanic hot springs, and let those healing waters work their magic! Definitely one of the highlights of this region.

Following your swim, you'll be given the opportunity to stroll around the 14 hectare botanical gardens, before heading off to lunch.

A 3 course lunch including São Jorge cheese and the traditional volcanic 'Cozido':

(A traditional Portuguese dish composed of various meats (for example: bacon, ribs, chicken, chouriço and morcela; a Portuguese blood sausage) and vegetables (cabbage, potatoes, carrots, taro and sweet potato. All the ingredients are buried in a volcanic vent and slow cooked for 6 hours) it's yummy!
