Join us on an unforgettable "pink tour" as we explore the stunning pink lakes of Las Coloradas and discover the natural wonders of Río Lagartos, a hidden gem in the Yucatán Peninsula.
Our adventure begins with a boat ride through the mangroves of this ecological reserve, where you’ll witness a breathtaking variety of wildlife in their natural habitat — from elegant flamingos and pelicans, to herons, eagles, and even crocodiles.
You’ll learn about the traditional salt extraction process and marvel at the vibrant rose-colored ponds that make this destination so unique. Then, enjoy a traditional Mayan mud bath, where mineral-rich clay is used to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin, followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the area.
To top it all off, we’ll end the tour with a delicious local seafood meal, freshly prepared by villagers.
This is more than just a tour — it’s an extraordinary adventure through nature, tradition, and the unforgettable colors of Yucatán.
Las Coloradas is a true natural wonder where we will explore its famous pink lakes.
This unique ecosystem creates a surreal landscape that looks like something from another planet.
The striking pink color of the waters, caused by the high concentration of salt and pigmented bacteria, makes for incredible photos, especially under the bright Mexican sun.
The area is a sanctuary for flamingos, which feed on brine shrimp and algae in the lakes, giving them their iconic pink color.
The tour includes visits to key points of interest, such as the Las Coloradas salt flats, where you will see how salt is traditionally extracted. You will also have the opportunity to explore the local wildlife, including flamingos and other birds that inhabit the region.
You'll have the opportunity to take a walk through the Río Lagartos Biosphere Reserve. You'll be able to observe flamingos, see different types of birds and see mangroves. After you will enjoy an exfoliation bath (with sand) , and spend some time on the banks of the Río Lagartos.
After the tour, we'll visit a beach in the Río Lagartos to wash off the sand. Finally, we'll arrive in the town of Rio Lagartos to enjoy a dish (your choice of chicken or fish).
