Detailed itinerary

1

The VIP Dubai Desert Safari adventure typically begins with a pick-up from your location in the afternoon, with drive times ranging between 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your location. Along the way, you’ll pass through the outskirts of Dubai, watching the urban scenery fade into expansive, golden dunes. Upon arriving at the desert’s meeting point, you’ll have the opportunity to take a short break, use the washroom, and explore the surroundings. Here, you can also rent a quad bike or buggy for a self-driving experience, allowing you to navigate the sand dunes on your own for an extra thrill. Pre-booking is highly recommended for this activity

Pick-up usually happens in the afternoon, around 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM during winter and as late as 3:30 PM 4:30 PM during the hottest month of summer or depending on the package selected.

A 4x4 vehicle, usually a Land Cruiser, will pick you up from your hotel or designated location in central Dubai.

2

A Buggy Ride or ATV Ride is a popular outdoor adventure activity where participants drive dune buggies or ATVs across the desert terrain. These vehicles are built for off-road experiences, making it easier to navigate through the sand dunes and rough desert landscapes.

Before the ride begins, participants are provided with all the necessary safety gear, including helmets and goggles, along with a brief orientation and guided instructions from experienced instructors.

During the experience, there are scheduled stops where you can take photos, soak in the scenery, and appreciate the desert’s raw beauty. These moments give you the chance to rest, enjoy the quiet majesty of the surroundings, and capture some great memories.

Most rides allow for around 20-30 minutes of quad biking, where you can navigate the dunes at your own pace.

3

The main event of the tour is dune bashing, an exhilarating 4x4 ride across the towering dunes, where your expert driver skillfully maneuvers the vehicle through steep, sandy slopes and thrilling descents. For those seeking additional excitement, sandboarding down the dunes is also available. These adrenaline-pumping activities offer a heart-racing introduction to the desert’s rugged beauty.

Throughout the activity, experienced guides are on hand to ensure everyone’s safety and offer tips on mastering the ride. Sandboarding also provides some incredible opportunities for scenic views, especially at sunset, when the desert transforms into a landscape of rich, glowing colors. It’s not only an adrenaline-pumping adventure but also a way to enjoy the serene beauty of the Dubai desert.

4

After the thrilling dune bashing, your safari guide will bring you to a traditional desert camp where a range of activities awaits. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with Arabic coffee (Gahwa) and dates, immersing you in the local culture. The camp, designed to reflect a traditional Bedouin settlement, offers comfortable seating and various activity stations.
You can enjoy a brief camel ride, a classic desert experience, or have intricate henna designs applied by skilled artists. If you prefer to unwind, there’s usually a shisha (hookah) area where you can relax and try different tobacco flavors. For a memorable keepsake, you can also dress in traditional Emirati clothing and capture the moment in photos.

Additionally, you can interact with falcons and take photos with them for a minimal extra charge.

5

The evening is a vibrant celebration of traditional entertainment, offering an immersive cultural journey in the heart of the desert. Guests are treated to a series of mesmerizing performances that showcase the rich heritage of the region. One of the highlights is the graceful and entrancing belly dancing, where skilled dancers sway to the rhythms of Arabic music, captivating the audience with their fluid movements and intricate costumes. Following this is the spellbinding Tanoura dance, an age-old Egyptian performance characterized by the whirling motion of dancers in brightly colored skirts, symbolizing the revolving universe. The evening crescendos with a thrilling fire show, featuring daring fire-breathing acts or intricate fire-dancing routines, where performers manipulate flames with incredible precision and artistry, leaving the audience in awe of their skill and bravery.

6

The 4x4 Red Dunes Desert Safari is the perfect adventure for those eager to explore the stunning natural beauty of Dubai’s desert while immersing themselves in cultural experiences and thrilling activities. This comprehensive tour typically takes place daily from the afternoon into the evening.
A typical Dubai Desert Safari concludes between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, depending on the package you choose. The evening safari, which is the most popular option, generally begins around 3:00 PM and lasts for approximately 6 to 7 hours. Some tours may end slightly earlier or later based on the included activities, which can range from quad biking and camel rides to dinner and live entertainment.
The return trip to your hotel takes about an hour, although travel times may vary due to road traffic.
