On the Tatio Geysers tour we will leave San Pedro de Atacama at dawn towards the Altiplano, climbing the hills and mountains of the Andes Mountains. After 1 hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at the Geysers, a unique natural spectacle in the world, with 80 steaming geysers at an altitude of 4,200 m. Next to this natural setting, we will enjoy a replenishing breakfast, and then tour the geothermal field, surrounded by numerous columns of steam. Also, it is possible to visit the rustic pool that is within the same field, although at the moment it is not allowed to bathe in the thermal pool. On the way back to San Pedro de Atacama, we will make a stop at the Putana River, where we will observe the native flora and fauna of the place.

At 4,200 meters above sea level, the Tatio Geysers welcome us.
In front of us, the orange sun hides between fumaroles up to 10 meters high that gloriously unfold over terrain of rocks and volcanic stones.
we are 89 kilometers from San Pedro, but rather it seems that we had traveled to the beginning of time, when the Earth was just being formed and man had no intention of existing.
Motivated by curiosity, you approach one of the geysers to observe closely how the bubbling water gushes from the depths of the earth.
It seems harmless, but the liquid that splashes and turns to steam in front of you is over 85 degrees Celsius. Aware of the danger, you move away a little and thank me for the warning.
However, don't be discouraged! The opportunity to test these waters still exists and to take advantage of it, we headed to the natural pools that are nearby.
