Zion National Park is the most visited jewel in Southern Utah's collection of parks. A stunning sandstone masterpiece of towering cliffs and deep red canyons, Zion's vertical enormity stands in stark contrast to the vast depths of Arizona's Grand Canyon. Carved over eight hundred million years, this landscape, including nearby Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks, forms the Grand Staircase geology. While many visitors stick to scenic byways like Highway 9, others venture onto trails and into slot canyons to discover hidden waterfalls or breathtaking viewpoints that can only be reached on foot.
