About this experience

This is a great experience of a lush green and unique semi-tropical ecosystem found in only 2% of the planet, the cloud forest. Located close to the capital city of Quito, yet very different, an amazing drive with a stop on the way to observe and feed humming birds, and see tmany colorful birds before getting to Mindo cloud forest, to then venture out and start the different activities as the Cable car ride, a nice hike to the river waterfalls, visit the butterflies farm to learn and observe the wonderful life cycle of butterflies as the blue morph, enjoy a great local Lunch (eat at an Ecuadorian restaurant), and last, the chocolate or coffee tour and tasting, among other options as zip lining or tubing.

Our first stop will be in San Tadeo Birding, located about 15 minutes before Mindos town, her eyou will be delighted by all the different colorful birds you will be able to observe specially tanagers, humming birds and possibly other species as toucans or toucanets,

Here you will experience a cable car ride above the forest and across the river to enter the hiking paths to the different waterfalls in this reserve, where you will experience the beauty of the cloud forest its rivers an its semitropical forest that has a lot to offer as plants, insects, amphibians that may show up along the hike.

Next we will have a locals Lunch at one of the traditional Mindo restaurants called Almuerzo

Next you will experience a chocolate or coffee tour depends which one you choose, where you will be explained about some facts, will see the plant the tree, the pot be able to taste them, and learn all the process it takes to come up with the best home made products, then you will have the chance to make your own and enjoy the fresh taste of freshly made products and many different combinations and options

Here, you will learn and observe the stages of the lifecycle of a butterfly, from the eggs until they open their wings and are ready to fly.
