The Etna 3000 excursion is a tour that allows you to experience the thrill of walking literally surrounded by surreal views. The first part of the tour takes place by cable car, from the Sapienza refuge (1960 mt) to the arrival station of the Etna cable car (2510 mt), from here we will proceed in trekking to visit the Pian del Lago, a false plane of volcanic sand that creates a surreal lunar landscape, we will then climb the crater of the 2001 eruption, from where you can admire the nearby summit craters and the coast. Once you reach the lava fronts of the last eruptions (2018) you will reach a very panoramic area on the famous Valle del Bove, a vast depression generated by the collapse of an ancient volcanic building. The maximum altitude reached with this tour is variable between 2750 and 2950 meters.
LANGUAGE: It is possible to indicate the preference of the language of the tour between Italian, English. In case of unavailability of your language, the excursion will be conducted in English or Italian.
We will arrive at an altitude of about 2700 meters on the south side of Etna with the use of the Etna cableway from 2000/2500 meters. The remaining part of the tour takes place entirely on foot
