Detailed itinerary

1

Wine Tastinγ: Enjoy 5 of the wines of the Monastery accompanied by traditional dako (dry bread, tomato, feta, olive and oregano) along with bread with the Monastery's organic extra virgin olive oil

The monastery cultivates 17 hectares of vineyards. Among the wines, the local variety of Romeiko is singular with its special white dry, red dry and sweet wine. The varieties of Trebbiano, Muscat of Alexandria, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot have adapted to the area's microclimate and give a unique collection of 11 different wines.
You can combine your visit to the historic Monastery with a tour of vineyards and olive groves and complete your journey with a wine tasting in an area dedicated to wine tastings.

If the day is Sunday the experiences will take place in places other than the monastery because it is not allowed to do wine tastings in these places on Sunday

2

Folklore museum exhibits: The Monastery of Holy Trinity of Tzagarola or Mourtara is one of the richest and most beautiful monasteries on Crete and hosts the facilities of a small museum. The Monastery of Holy Trinity of Tzagarola nowadays still plays an important role in the religious and economic life of Crete. The visitor, apart from the tour of the monastery and the Museum of Holy Trinity of Tzagarola, can observe closely how the unique quality of organic olive oil, wine, honey, vinegar and soap from olive oil is produced and exported by the monks.

3

The picturesque city of Chania
The Old Town and the Venetian Harbour have remained almost intact, giving the city a special Venetian character, unique in the Mediterranean. Thus, the visitors of Chania are attracted by the beauty of the scenic narrow streets, the imposing lighthouse at the entrance of the small harbour and all the amazing monuments that make up the transcendent magic of Chania. Wandering around the Old Town’s maze-like alleys with the beautiful Venetian mansions, the fountains and the elaborate churches will help you discover well-preserved historical monuments.
